Delivery Information

    We do our best to keep delivery affordable (we usually subsidise delivery costs and never profit from delivery charges) and to dispatch / deliver your order to you as quickly as possible.

    Below you'll find everything we think you might need to know about delivery. However if we've missed anything please contact our friendly customer service team by phone or email.

    Delivery Costs

    Delivery costs are based on the item size and your location, prices will always be shown clearly at the checkout page, before payment, after entering your address in the shipping location.  

    The Best Backyard supplier warehouses are located in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane. Multiple items may be at different locations and delivered separately. 

    For the products that we can't deliver for free (e.g. large items such as cubby houses and trampolines), we do our very best to arrange the most affordable shipping. 

    Please contact us if you are unable to see delivery costs during the checkout process.

    Our Delivery Partners

    We use Australia Post and selected road freight carrier services for deliveries including TNT, Allied, Aramex and Toll. 

    Order Confirmation

    As soon as you place your order, you will receive a confirmation email, so you know that the order has been placed, payment is being processed and your item is on it's way to you!

    Order Dispatch Times

    Most orders are dispatched in 2-3 business days, however depending on the volume of orders, number / type of product ordered, and time of year (e.g. Christmas) it can take up to 5-6 business days to pick, pack, check and organise for a courier to collect your item. 

    Delivery Times

    • Expected delivery times for most small-medium items once they have been dispatched from the warehouse are 7-10 business days in metro areas.
    • In regional and remote areas deliveries usually take approximately 7 - 14 business days, but can be extended to 12 - 19 business days in times of disasters or bad weather
    • Please contact us if an item has not arrived after 21 days.

      Important Delivery Information 

      Important Information About Delivery of Large Items (Outdoor Lounges, Trampolines, Cubby Houses & Swing Sets)

      • Large, heavy items like cubby houses and swing sets are sent by courier to your door, on a ground floor. 
      • All delivery fees are based on delivery to your door, ground floor, during business hours. 
      • Couriers may require a signature for delivery, or will give you the option for 'Authority to Leave'. 
      • Couriers are unable to carry items past your front door, on the ground floor, due to liability and security issues.
      • We recommend that you arrange another person to help carry heavy items past the front door

      General Information

      • If you order multiple items from our website, you may receive multiple deliveries shipped by multiple carriers since items may be sent from different warehouse locations.
      • Deliveries are made Monday-Friday during business hours.

      PO Box / Street Street Addresses

      • Our couriers require a street address & cannot deliver to a PO Box. Please enter your street address when you place your order

      Damaged Boxes / Missing Items

      • Do not accept the delivery if the boxes are damaged or part of your order is missing (except in the circumstances detailed below)
      • Sometimes couriers will deliver your order across 2 separate deliveries, if this happens ensure you only sign to say you have received a partial delivery & the proof of delivery accurate reflects the number of boxes you received, not the entire delivery.
      • Unfortunately we cannot guarantee delivery times due to issues with courier networks beyond our control such as natural disasters

      Accurate Delivery Addresses

      It is the responsibility of the customer to provide accurate and complete delivery information. We will not be held responsible for delayed or undelivered shipments due to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.

      Delivery Delays

      In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather conditions, public holidays, or other factors affecting our delivery partners, there may be delays in the estimated delivery time. We appreciate your understanding in such situations, and cannot be responsible for delays which are outside of our control.

        Unsuccessful Delivery Attempts & Re-Delivery Costs

        For small items please check your mailbox to see if Australia Post has left a postcard attempting delivery.  In this case your item is usually held at your local post office for collection.  

        If an item is undeliverable due to incorrect address, lack of recipient or other factors beyond the courier's control it will be returned to our warehouse and we will contact you.  Another delivery fee will be required to re-deliver this item to you. Delivery fees cannot be refunded. 

        Postcodes We Cannot Deliver To

        Unfortunately due to the limitations of courier services there are some postcodes we cannot send items to.

        • QLD  4184, 4421,4450-4499, 4680, 4700-4805, 9920-9959, 4806-4899, 4900-4999, 9960-999.
