What's the difference between a timber and metal frame greenhouse?
Timber frames offer a classic, natural aesthetic that blends beautifully into most garden settings. They provide excellent insulation and are easy to customise & very strong. Metal frames typically made from powder-coated aluminium or steel are lighter, require very little maintenance, and are highly resistant to warping or rot over time. Both are solid choices; it really comes down to the look you're after and how much ongoing upkeep you'd like to do.

Are your greenhouses suitable for the Australian climate?
Absolutely. Our greenhouse kits are designed and engineered in Australia, with local conditions firmly in mind. The glazing, framing, and ventilation options have all been selected to perform well across a wide range of Australian climates - whether you're in a hot and dry inland region, a humid coastal area, or somewhere that sees a proper cold snap in winter.

How difficult are these greenhouses to assemble?
Most of our kits are designed for straightforward DIY assembly and come with full instructions. A basic toolkit and a spare pair of hands are generally all you need. Larger or more complex models may require a little more time, but nothing beyond the capability of a confident home builder.

Do I need council approval to install a greenhouse?
This varies depending on your local council and the size of the structure. Smaller, freestanding greenhouse kits typically fall within exempt development provisions, but we'd always recommend checking with your local council before installation, particularly for larger models.

What kind of glazing do your greenhouses use?
Depending on the model, our greenhouses use either twin-wall polycarbonate panels or tempered glass. Polycarbonate is lightweight, impact-resistant, and provides excellent UV diffusion which is great for plant growth. Glass offers superior clarity and a more traditional look. Both options provide good insulation and light transmission.

Can I use a greenhouse year-round in Australia?
Yes, a greenhouse lets you extend your growing season significantly, protecting tender plants from frosts in winter and creating a warm, controlled environment for propagation and seedlings in the cooler months. In summer, adequate ventilation keeps temperatures in check.

What can I grow in a greenhouse?
