The Bestway® Sea Captain Family Pool is the perfect way for families to play in the water together! While they play, the UV Careful™ canopy will keep them cool and have more safe fun in the sun.

Plus, the canopy is removable, giving you the convenient option to remove it and use the pool without it.

The sturdy pre-tested vinyl construction also makes the Sea Captain durable while the 3-ply side design ensures that it stands up to robust play with the young ones. Better still, the Sea Captain pool has a built-in steering wheel with a horn that allows kids to pretend they are the captain of the ship as the navigate the wild waters of the sea and honk at the other boats passing by.

Set sail on summer fun and let their imaginations run wild as they play under the shade of this family pool. Not least, an emergency repair kit is also included for fast patch-ups.

New pool and spa barrier laws

On 1 December 2019, new laws to improve swimming pool and spa safety came into effect in Victoria. Thee include new registration, inspection and certification requirements for property owners. As part of the changes, owners are required to register their pool and spa with their local council and have their safety barrier inspected once every four years. If a Victorian residential pool or spa has a depth of 30cm or more (300mm), it is required to be surrounded by safety barrier. This includes inflatable pools.

Christmas Cut Off Delivery Times

Bulky Items - items including furniture, cubby houses, playsets, swings and treehouses need to be ordered by COB 29th November for delivery before Christmas

Smaller items - items including games, pool floats, small outdoor play items and homewares/decor need to be ordered by

  • COB 29 November for Regional areas and 
  • COB 3 December for delivery in Metro areas before Christmas

We cannot guarantee delivery and these deadlines may be impacted by delays across our courier partner networks.

The vast majority of our products have 'free shipping' and all our products are shipped from warehouses based in Australia.

For the products that we can't ship for free unfortunately (e.g., large items like cubby houses and trampolines), we do our very best to arrange the most affordable shipping.

Shipping quotes will be given at check out, based on your location and the size of the item. 

Our Courier Partners

We use Australia Post and selected road freight carrier services for deliveries including Fastaway, Allied and Toll. 

Order Confirmation

As soon as you place your order, you will receive a confirmation email, so you know that the order has been placed, payment is being processed and your item will be on it's way to you soon! 

Order Tracking

Within 3 business days you will receive a shipping email with a tracking number so you'll know exactly when to expect your delivery.  If you don't receive it please check your junk box, or let us know

 Small to Medium Items 

  • Please note, our couriers require a street address, not a P.O.Box, so ensure you enter your street address in check out. 
  • Deliveries are Monday-Friday during business hours. 
  • If you order multiple items from our website, you may receive multiple deliveries shipped by multiple carriers since items may be sent from different warehouse locations.
  • Expected shipping times for most small-medium items once they have been dispatched from the warehouse are 3-5 business days.
  • Occasionally there may be delays.  Please contact us if an item has not arrived after 10 days. 

Large Items (Outdoor Lounges, Trampolines, Cubby Houses & Swing Sets)

  • Please note, our couriers require a street address, not a P.O.Box, so ensure you enter your street address in check out. 
  • Large, heavy items like cubby houses and swing sets are sent by courier to your door, on a ground floor. 
  • All delivery fees are based on delivery to your door, ground floor, during business hours. 
  • Couriers may require a signature for delivery, or will give you the option for 'Authority to Leave'. 
  • Couriers are unable to carry items past your front door, on the ground floor, due to liability and security issues.
  • We recommend that you arrange another person to help carry heavy items past the front door. 
  • Expected shipping times for large items are estimated to
    • VIC  3-5 working days
    • NSW / ACT / SA  4-8 working days
    • QLD / NT / WA / TAS  5-10 working days. 
  • Occasionally there may be delays. Please allow plenty of time for deliveries and contact us if the item has not arrived after 10 days. 

    Unsuccessful Delivery Attempt

    For small items please check your mailbox to see if Australia Post has left a postcard attempting delivery.  In this case your item is usually held at your local post office for collection.  

    If an item is undeliverable due to incorrect address, lack of recipient or other factors beyond the courier's control it will be returned to our warehouse and we will contact you.  Another delivery fee will be needed to re-deliver this item to you. Delivery fees cannot be refunded.

    Unfortunately due to the limitations of courier services there are some postcodes we cannot send items to.

    Faulty Items
    In the unlikely event of faulty or broken items being delivered we will repair, replace or provide a full refund.   
    We recommend that you check items upon delivery to ensure they are intact and all parts are included.  
    Please take photos of any damaged items. 
    You must make contact with us within 7 days of receiving your item, if it's faulty or broken and you require our assistance.  


    Returns

    As a general rule we do not accept change of mind returns due to the bulkiness of our goods and expense we incur in offering economical delivery along with the challenges in storing these products. However, returns may be made within 14 days for a refund.

    To be eligible for a return, you must have a receipt for proof of purchase and your item must

    • be unused and
    • in the same condition that you received it and
    • be in the original packaging.

    If 15 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.

    Return Shipping & Restocking Costs
    To return your product, please email us at hello@thebestbackyard.com.au for next steps.  

    Our suppliers will provide shipping 'return post' labels. Please do not return products without contacting us and arranging the correct shipping. 

    For 'change of mind' returns you will be responsible for shipping costs for returning items, irrespective of any free shipping offers that applied at the time of your original purchase.  

    If you use the supplied 'return post' shipping label, a refund will be processed minus the return shipping fee, the original shipping fee and a restocking fee of 15%.

    Exchanges

    Unfortunately we do not offer exchanges. 

    Cancellations
    You may cancel an order before it is dispatched to you. After it is dispatched, however, we are unable to stop the delivery.  You will need to accept delivery and decide whether to return the item.  If you return the item a refund will be processed minus shipping fees and a restocking fee of 15%.
